Nevada State Bank appointed Karla Perez to its board of directors. Perez serves as the regional vice president of seven hospitals within the western region of Universal Health Services.
City National Bank named Joe Laiacona vice president and manager of its Tropicana banking center. Laiacona has 25 years of experience in the financial services industry.

The Modern Contemporary Art Museum named Melanie Coffee project manager. Coffee has held positions in UNLV’s Marjorie Barrick Museum, The Neon Museum and Liberace Foundation.

Primm Valley Casino Resorts promoted Stuart Richey to vice president and general manager. A 20-year casino executive, Richey has worked at Bally’s, Paris Las Vegas, Stardust and Stratosphere.

Jeffrey R. Gordon, president and CEO of Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation, has been named by the Southern Highlands Charitable Foundation as one of the 2014 Governor’s Philanthropists of the Year. Over the past 15 years, Gordon has led the NCCF in the development of more than 30 programs and services.
