EDUCATION

Clark County Independent School District’s Virtual High School named Darlin Delgado principal. Formerly assistant principal at Foothill and Eldorado high schools, Delgado helped develop a campus master schedule to maximize student learning for college and career readiness, direct and coordinate the process for accreditation of the Business Information Technology Academy, and implement district and school goals.

HEALTH CARE

Primary care provider Ida Plaza has joined HealthCare Partners Medical Group. Plaza, a certified family nurse practitioner, is seeing patients at the HealthCare Partners Desert View Clinic at 330 S. Lola Lane, Suite 200, in Pahrump.

LAW

Leonard Stone, a founding partner of Shook &Stone, has been appointed to the Nevada Justice Association’s Board of Governors. Stone has practiced law in Nevada since 1995 and specializes in personal injury, workers’ compensation and disability claims.

Michael Buckley, director of real estate, business and finance practice groups for Fennemore Craig Jones Vargas, has been appointed to the Board of Bar Examiners for Nevada for a three-year term.

Lionel Sawyer &Collins shareholder Linda M. Bullen was elected to a three-year term as a member of the governing Board of Regents of the American College of Environmental Lawyers.

Debbie Leonard, a partner in the Reno office of McDonald Carano Wilson LLP, has been elected as the new chairwoman of the Appellate Litigation Section of the State Bar of Nevada.

PUBLIC RELATIONS

The Glenn Group has retained Kara J. Kelley to serve as the executive director of the Nevada 150, creating and managing events and marketing the celebration of Nevada’s statehood anniversary.

The Glenn Group has hired Chris Charles Scott as public relations director in the strategy and innovation division. Americana Holdings, the parent company of Prudential Americana Group and Prudential Arizona Properties, has named Matthew Mullin vice president of strategic growth. Mullin brought his real estate company to Prudential Americana Group in 2009 and has been a Las Vegas real estate sales executive since 2003.

Acclaim Real Estate named Souky Chanthavong, Mario Hawkins and Anne Rivera agents as well as expanded their offices to 1050 Indigo Drive, Suite 115.
