Pardee opens LivingSmart at Mountain’s Edge Jan. 28

Last weekend, Pardee Homes celebrated the grand opening of LivingSmart at Mountain's Edge community.

"We're excited to open our first LivingSmart neighborhood and to introduce these new energy-efficient designs to Las Vegas," said Regional Sales Director Rob Tuvell.

LivingSmart at Mountain's Edge is a collection of three floor plans that range from 1,852 to 2,432 square feet. It is located off Buffalo Drive and Cactus Road in Mountain's Edge.

Prices start from $186,990.

Pardee Homes' LivingSmart brand is a program with standard and optional measures that boost energy efficiency, save water, improve indoor air quality and encourage material conservation and the use of recycled or sustainable resources in new homes, according to Tuvell.

LivingSmart at Mountain's Edge homes come with standard features that are included in the price of the residence.

Some of these features can include 42-inch kitchen cabinets, undermount sinks in the baths, distinctive interior paint and kitchen granite selections.

Options include tankless water heaters, framed bathroom mirrors and paver driveways.

Plan One measures 1,852 square feet with four bedrooms, three baths and a two-car garage. The plan can be built with an optional loft.

Plan Two measures 2,250 square feet with four bedrooms, three baths, loft and two-car garage.

Plan Three measures 2,432 square feet with four bedrooms, 2½ baths, loft and a two-car garage. It can be built with an optional retreat or office instead of the fourth bedroom.

Pardee Homes plans to hold a grand opening for its Durango Ranch in southwest Las Vegas. It's scheduled to open in two weeks.

The neighborhood is located near the southeast corner of Durango Drive and Pebble Road.

Durango Ranch's three single-story plans range from 2,972 square feet to 4,142 square feet on one-third acre home sites.

The homes offer as many as five bedrooms, large family kitchens and master baths. Detached casitas, four-car garages and RV parking pads are also available.

Tuvell said the company's pledge to build greener began with the pioneering of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Energy Star homes in Southern Nevada in 1998.

Today that commitment, he said, has grown to become Pardee's award-winning LivingSmart program.

The program provides more than 30 earth-friendly standard and optional systems and features.

All Pardee's new homes are designed in this fashion, Tuvell said.

Sales office hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday through Thursday and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday.

One of the West's largest and longest-established homebuilders, Pardee has built residences for more than 40,000 families in Southern Nevada since 1952.
