Pardee raffle concludes
December 15, 2007 - 10:00 pm
Pardee Homes and HomeAid Southern Nevada are holding a raffle at The District at Green Valley Ranch that will conclude today.
The grand prize will be the Toy Shoppe playhouse, with the winning ticket to be drawn at 1 p.m.
The playhouse is valued at more than $50,000 and is on display through Sunday. HomeAid Southern Nevada is selling raffle tickets at the house site for $5 each or five for $20.
All proceeds benefit HomeAid's Shelter Development Program in the Las Vegas area.
"The materials, workmanship and details will set this playhouse apart from a ready-made fort you can buy in a store," said Klif Andrews, Southern Nevada Division president, Pardee Homes and Southern Nevada Chapter president of HomeAid. "Some lucky family will have a great addition to their backyard this holiday season."
The Toy Shoppe measures 8-by-10-by-10 feet and was built by volunteers from Pardee Homes, Sunrise Carpentry and other HomeAid supporters, including: Builders Showcase Interiors of Nevada; Premier Electric; Statewide Lighting Center Inc.; Gothic Landscape; Reyburn Landscape Companies; Landscape Lighting Connection/Horner Bro's Electric; Landaco Landscape and Grading; Normans Nursery; Alexander's Masonry Inc.; Executive Plastering; T&R Painting and Drywall; Cooper Roofing; Eagle Sentry and SelectBuild Nevada. Project Playhouse is also sponsored by the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Las Vegas Sun and Colonial Bank.
In addition to the local Project Playhouse, Pardee Homes has built seven other playhouses this year on behalf of HomeAid that have earned appearances on national television.
