Pardee to host grand opening

Pardee Homes will celebrate today with the grand opening of its new LivingSmart neighborhood in Mountain's Edge, a master-planned community in the southwest valley. Scheduled events include cooking demonstrations and the opportunity to meet Pardee Homes' team behind the new LivingSmart Homes at Mountain's Edge community, which includes representatives from construction, customer service, Pardee Home Loans, the design center and the new sales team.

LivingSmart Homes at Mountain's Edge is a collection of three floor plans that range from 1,852 to 2,432 square feet. It is located off Buffalo and Cactus drives . Prices are anticipated to start from $186,990.

LivingSmart Homes at Mountain's Edge is the first of four grand openings planned by Pardee Homes in as many months. The builder is scheduled to open Durango Ranch in the southwest valley off Durango Drive and Pebble Road in February. LivingSmart Homes at Providence will open in the northwest valley in March; and LivingSmart Homes at Eldorado Ridge is scheduled to open in North Las Vegas in April.

The LivingSmart brand is a program with standard and optional measures that boost energy efficiency, save water, improve indoor air quality and encourage material conservation and the use of recycled or sustainable resources in new homes, according to company officials.

LivingSmart Homes at Mountain's Edge Plan One measures 1,852 square feet and has three bedrooms, two baths, den and two-car garage while Plan Two measures 2,250 square feet with four bedrooms, three baths and a two-car garage.

LivingSmart Homes at Mountain's Edge Plan Three measures 2,432 square feet and houses as many as five bedrooms, 2½ baths and a two-car garage.

The company's pledge to build greener began with helping to pioneer of U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Energy Star homes in Southern Nevada in 1998. That commitment has grown to become Pardee's award-winning LivingSmart program.

LivingSmart provides more than 30 Earth-friendly standard and optional systems and features for new-home buyers, and it applies to every newly designed home the company offers, according to company spokespersons.
