The responses continue to pour in after a recent column calling for new themes for the banner that now hangs above the office door of Gov. Jim Gibbons.

Of course, not all the responses will fit on a banner. Some wouldn't fit on 10. A nerve has been struck, and Nevadan's disenchanted with Gibbons are striking out while residents who believe he's done a credible job under difficult circumstances are striking back.

  Here are two examples:

From Ed Dodril: "If they knew what this banner cost, I'd be impeached."

This broadside response comes from Michael Cannon: "Are you just so mad at the governor because he is sidestepping the media and taking his message directly to the people of Nevada. I noticed several snide comments about his methods of communication including a swipe at the Podcast he posts regularly.  I'm surprised he didn't start bypassing the organized media and your extreme anti-conservative bias long ago.  I'll bet the democrats really love you and Molly Ball providing free advertising attacking your common enemy for them.  It sure must be a lot harder for the Republicans to overcome the free political ads masquerading as commentary. Do either of you ever even pretend to be balanced? I guess as commentators rather than reporters you don't really have to.”
