Planet Hyundai coordinator shares love of cars, guitars

Cars and music have been a constant in the life of Eva Gryczon, a native of Detroit who now works as marketing coordinator for Planet Hyundai.
"All my life, it's been cars and guitars," said Gryczon, who has lived in Las Vegas since 2003. "My dad worked as a welder for General Motors when I was growing up and, with the huge music scene in Detroit, I was addicted to the guitar and music from the get-go."
She is a former real estate representative for a new-home Internet company, but it's the music and car businesses that have been her true loves.
"Music is my therapy," said Gryczon, adding that she was playing as many as five nights a week in Las Vegas.
Her career includes playing guitar for the Las Vegas dance band The Sugar Dolls, which performs at various venues.
"But the music business can be especially tough, and a guitar can be hard on your back. I don't perform as much as I used to, but the creative side of me has me continually writing songs. There's just simply something very self-satisfying out of writing a song, and especially seeing that song become reality."
Gryczon has several recorded songs, including "Heal Me," "Purify" and "He Said." She was nominated for a Detroit Music Awards best songwriter award in 2001. In Detroit, she worked with Kid Rock before the performer hit the big time.
The car business is the perfect balance for Gryczon, who also plays on the Summerlin Arbors tennis team and hikes Red Rock Canyon during her free time.
"In the music business, every note has to be perfect, and it's the same in the car business," explained Gryczon, who has an associate degree in business from Macomb Community College in Michigan. "Everything must be precise when delivering the message."
She said a Hyundai dealership and the Planet organization is the place to be when working in the car business.
"The Hyundai is a great car. It's affordable and they are beautiful cars. Every model is really cool and every one of us who works here is proud to be a part of the dealership and the product."
