Planet Hyundai puts mortgage consultant in driver’s seat

Local residential mortgage consultant Wendi Fawber was driving a Lexus for three years before deciding to buy a 2011 Hyundai Elantra Limited from Planet Hyundai Centennial at 6200 Centennial Center Blvd. She traded for the Elantra, after conducting thorough research for several weeks.

"While I can navigate through a loan file like no one else, I am directionally challenged, which is why the navigation is a godsend for me," she said. "You're not taking your mind off the road or your hands off the wheel, but instead it's as though you're having a conversation with the car's radio.
"You don't have to look down or anything. Instead, a voice gives you the directions and the screen is also right in front of you. It's like play-by-play directions."

Fawber said that while other vehicles have the same features as the Hyundai, she felt no other automobile manufacturer provides the quality offered at a similar cost.
"It's just what I needed when it comes to such an economic phenomena," she said. "The Hyundai is just what the doctor ordered, especially considering the state of our economy."
The Bluetooth included in the Hyundai provides hands-free phone capabilities, while also dialing phone numbers upon vocal request.
"The manual has specific commands for everything," Fawber said. "Your iPod USB hookup also allows you to play your favorite music."
The fuel mileage provided by the Elantra was also a key consideration for Fawber, who is continuously on the road each year..
"Hyundai has managed to figure out a way to create an affordable luxury vehicle at an affordable price," Fawber explained. "In addition, I wanted a car that gets good gas mileage and my car gets 40 mpg."
Additionally, Fawber was impressed with Hyundai's 10-year, 100,000-mile warranty.
"The Hyundai provides everything anyone would need," she said. "This car has absolutely everything you could want -- and more.

"The engine is very powerful. It has an automatic transmission and shifts very smoothly. It is seamless shifting."
Fawber praised sales consultant Chris Rooney. She found the Planet Hyundai Centennial salesperson after being referred by real estate professional Faith Harmer, who also bought an Elantra from Rooney.
"I asked Faith who she bought her car from," Fawber explained. "She told me that Chris treated her very well and didn't pressure her at all. I want to be able to make my own decision when it comes to buying a car, and Chris allowed me to do just that.
"He was excellent and he was very informative. I would definitely recommend Chris for anyone else interested in purchasing a car."
