Planet Nissan buys dinner

For the second year in a row, Planet Nissan in Centennial Hills went an extra mile on Thanksgiving by donating holiday dinners to 10 local families in need. Each family received a $200 gift certificate for groceries.

Gift card recipients were determined by the listeners of KXPT 97.1 FM "The Point" through letters of recommendation.

"We were happy to have the opportunity again this year to contribute to the community," said Planet Nissan general manager Alex Estay. "It is rewarding to see how you can make a positive impact when times are tough and there is such a need for this type of act."

Planet Nissan, located off U.S. Highway 95 on Ann Road West, opened in 2004 and quickly rose to become one of the top Nissan dealerships in the country, partly because of the community-oriented events it initiates. In addition to gift cards, the dealership has given Nissan Sentras to needy families in the past.

Planet Nissan's contributions to the Las Vegas community are a reflection of the product it stands behind. In addition to regularly giving, Planet Nissan upholds the corporate Nissan philosophy of "seeking a symbiosis of people, vehicles and nature," as reflected in the Nissan Green Program. Nissan has made a conscious effort to change the way the company looks at things, does things and reacts to life around it. "When you change the way you look at the world, you will find that amazing things can happen," states its philosophy.

Shifting the way our nation drives, the Nissan lineup features five-star crash-test ratings, six standard airbags as well as luxury features. Planet Nissan stands behind its recognition as being one of the premier dealerships in the country by providing a quality product and giving back locally.

"We continue to try to come up with ways to better our relationship with the community, and our parent company Nissan is always on the cutting edge when it comes to safety features," Estay said.

Planet Nissan is located at 5850 Centennial Center Blvd. Log on to www.planet-nissan.com or call 876-8000 for more information.
