PLAYS: UNLV 10-minute play festival
April 24, 2008 - 3:44 pm
Am heading to UNLV's 10-minute play festival tonight. I always look forward to them for at least three reasons:
1) They're short, and if you don't like one, there's another coming up right behind it.
2) They are performed mostly by students who spend their whole day studying theater.
3) The sparse sets —-- and I mean REALLY sparse — are often clever, or at least effective.
I never know when I'm going to find something really good here, since you have beginning and advanced playwrights, actors and directors working together. Admission is only $7.50 too. At the Paul Harris through Sunday. I should have a review in the R-J on Saturday.
