Red Rock Realty participates in luxury market

Bob and Jill Barnhart, owners of Red Rock Realty, reported a record year in 2007 for their firm which dominated the ultra-luxury real estate market in the Las Vegas Valley. The Barnharts said their firm was the only real estate company that sold seven ultra-luxury estate homes priced at more than $4 million as the high end of the Las Vegas real estate market remained remarkably resilient amid declining housing trends.

The firm's emphasis is collaborating with agents and sophisticated buyers to show and sell the finest properties in Southern Nevada, according to the company.

The Barnharts' most significant sales in 2007 included a $10 million 13,000-square-foot Mediterranean estate in Southern Highlands purchased by Gavin Maloof, principal owner of the Palms Casino Resort and the Sacramento Kings pro basketball team.

In addition, casino mogul and billionaire Phil Ruffin purchased a new 9,000-square-foot Tuscan estate in The Estates at Red Rock Country Club for $5.7 million.

The president of Nextel South America, Lo van Gemert, purchased a 12,500-square-foot golf-course estate at the Tournament Players Club in Summerlin for $9 million.

Red Rock Realty also sold a furnished desert contemporary, world-class 10,000-square-foot estate with Las Vegas Strip views located at The Ridges in Summerlin for $8.9 million.

A local business owner purchased for $4.7 million an estate measuring more than 9,700 square feet, located behind the gates of Red Rock Country Club Estates.

"The city has arrived onto the world stage not only as a premier destination, but as a place to live and work," said Bob Barnhart, president of Red Rock Realty. "People of all backgrounds are coming here to make their fortune and enjoy this dynamic city."

Jeff and Joyce Towbin used the firm to market and sell their 8,000-square-foot Spanish Hills estate with Las Vegas Strip views. The home sold for $5 million.

Pam and Bruce Orisek employed the Barnharts' firm to sell their 8,600-square-foot new desert contemporary estate at The Ridges in Summerlin. It went for $4 million.

The ultra-luxury real estate market continues to flourish and has allowed the Barnharts to expand their business into Beverly Hills, networking there with agents and the A-list buyers who play at the multi-million-dollar level.

"Our sales team consists of an amazing group of top negotiators that breathe real estate 24/7 in Las Vegas," Barnhart said.

Red Rock Realty dominates the Las Vegas ultra-luxury real estate market with a 30 percent market share, he said.

The Barnharts continued their philanthropic work in the community supporting and sponsoring some of the leading charitable organizations in America, including a successful Make-A-Wish event that was hosted at the Barnharts' estate last spring. They also served as honorary chairs for Tom Cruise's charity, New York Rescue Workers of 9/11, and Usher's foundation, Rebuild and Restore for New Orleans.

The Barnharts gave back again last year by hosting a Toys for Tots event at the MGM Grand Hotel, teaming up with the Floyd Mayweather Jr. Foundation and the Marine Corps.
