Reid weighs in on the brain dead LV junket issue

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid tosses his two cents into the idiotic issue of whether President Obama owes Las Vegas an apology for correctly saying companies that suck up federal bailout money shouldn’t take Las Vegas junkets on the taxpayer dime. This should be a no-brainer, but it turns out there are a lot of people walking around with no brain.

In a quote that has surfaced several places Reid said, “I’ve spoken at length with President Obama’s chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel, and will speak to the President when I have the opportunity. Congressman Emanuel made it clear to me – and I know this is the case – that President Obama’s criticism was aimed at taxpayer funds for junkets. We gave a lot of money to the banks and they shouldn’t use that money for junkets whether it is to Los Angeles, Las Vegas, or New York.”

Does this mean Reid doesn’t want people to visit Las Vegas and now owes Las Vegas an apology?

  Of course not.
