Reps rip Gibbons on slow road progress

Democratic Reps. Shelley Berkley and Dina Titus took Gov. Jim Gibbons to task for Nevada's poor ranking in a report on transportation funds.
A report on the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, the so-called stimulus law, shows Nevada is 50th out of 51 jurisdictions when it comes to converting transportation funding into action on road projects.
"Gov. Gibbons should be embarrassed that only 30 (percent) of the transportation funding provided to Nevada has been used to create actual jobs on his watch," Berkley said.
