Rhodes builds resort communities

With two master-plan communities in Las Vegas, Rhodes Homes has strived to bring resort-style living to Rhodes Ranch in the southwest and Tuscany Residential Village in Henderson.

"We have been building communities for nearly 25 years in Las Vegas and have listened to the needs of our residents every step of the way," said Taylor Smith, sales agent at Rhodes Ranch. "Every resident of a Rhodes Homes community knows the amenities have been carefully planned to provide them with options to socialize, exercise and be entertained with family and friends. And because of our strength as a home builder, we can provide all this for about the same price as any similarly sized home with no amenities at all."

At Rhodes Ranch, activities are held in the 35,000-square-foot R-Club recreation center. The center houses a great room that features multiple seating areas, a baby grand piano and a large TV viewing area. The R-Club offers daily card games and fitness classes. Residents older than 16 can get together in the billiards room with six tables and options for pingpong.

The R-Club also includes an indoor workout facility with weights and cardiovascular equipment, a full-length basketball court and two racquetball/handball courts.

Residents can participate in a variety of group classes including Pilates, yoga, kick boxing, total body conditioning and circuit training in its group exercise room. Personal trainers are available by appointment to help homeowners create health and fitness programs.

"Rhodes Ranch is home to the largest water park in Las Vegas," Smith said. "It is open during the summer and includes a 13,000-square-foot lagoon pool with wading areas, a 10,000-square-foot water park with three speed slides, five kid slides, rope bridges, multiple squirt gun stations and a 1,000-gallon bucket that fills and tips over every five minutes."

The Fun Zone also includes a 25-meter lap pool, two eight-person spas, a 12-person group spa, four covered cabanas, one exterior lighted basketball court, two sand volleyball courts, four lighted tennis courts and a children's playground with activity structures.

Both Rhodes Ranch and Tuscany are home to award-winning golf courses and miles of walking paths in addition to guard-gated entrances and 24-hour security patrol.

At Tuscany Residential Village, residents of all ages have access to the 35,000-square-foot La Vita Tuscana recreation center. The center has a living-room style great room with a fireplace, flat screen TV, overstuffed couches and chairs and tables.

"La Vita Tuscana adds to the resort-style atmosphere of Tuscany," said sales agent Jimmy Crosswhite. "As soon as you enter the gates, you are transformed to the Italian countryside with ample space to walk, bicycle, jog and explore. The community center really brings residents together and helps them get to know their neighbors."
