Rhodes Ranch welcomes new residents

Rhodes Homes opened its signature Rhodes Ranch plan ned community in 1999 and recently welcomed two new residents who have watched it grow throughout the years.

Khristy Lair said Rhodes Ranch was at the top of the list when she and her boyfriend decided to purchase a home together.

"When we decided to look for a home, he knew right away he wanted to live in Rhodes Ranch," said Lair, who moves into her new home in The Greens Collection this fall.

She said boyfriend, Will Reidel, had seen the development of Rhodes Ranch while growing up in Las Vegas and "knew it was the best possible place to live in town."

"We had looked at a few other homes in the community, but when The Greens opened, we fell in love with our model and were even able to get a corner lot that overlooks the mountains," Lair said.

The couple purchased Floor Plan 1534 in the collection. Named for its square footage, this two-story home includes three bedrooms, 21/2 baths, living room, dining room and upstairs laundry room.

"We liked the open floor plan downstairs," Lair said. "The windows in the master bath will face the mountains and it's laid out really well."

In addition to Floor Plan 1534, The Greens offers two other home designs measuring 1,734 and 1,841 square feet. Floor Plan 1734 includes three bedrooms, 21/2 baths, a formal entry, living room, dining room, loft and downstairs laundry room. Floor Plan 1841 includes three bedrooms, 21/2 baths, a kitchen island, living room, dining room, loft and upstairs laundry room. All homes include a two-car garage.

Lair said both she and Reidel are looking forward to using their new 35,000-square-foot R-Club recreation center. "I work out and like yoga, so I plan on doing that and going to other fitness classes there," she said. "Will has a younger sister and a niece that he plans on taking to the water park and we are taking up tennis now that we have courts to play on."

The R-Club recreation center is available to all residents of Rhodes Ranch and includes a fitness center with group fitness classes, basketball and racquetball courts and personal trainers upon request. Its newest addition is the Fun Zone Water Park, which opened last year.

Standard features to each home include finished garages, barbecue stub rear yards and raised panel entry doors. Interiors include kitchen pantries, custom-rounded corners and pre-wiring for cable, phone, ceiling fans and alarms. Prices start in the high $100,000s.

Homes meet or exceed Energy Star standards.

To visit, take Interstate 215 , the Las Vegas Beltway, to Durango Drive and drive south to Rhodes Ranch Parkway. Head west on Rhodes Ranch Parkway and follow the signs. The sales center is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
