Rhodes’ X-it gears up for poolside celebration

Mark your calendars for the May 17 opening celebration of Rhodes Homes' X-it, a 178-unit condominium project located in the southwestern part of the valley.

The builder will host a night of poolside entertainment, hors d'oeuvres and cocktails with the vibe set by a resident DJ.

"We have never hosted an opening celebration event like this before," said Ryan Soucie, director of sales for Rhodes Homes. "In the past, we have always done the standard hot dogs and balloons.

"But this time we are gearing the event towards a unique buyer to illustrate our unique community. We will have appetizers, cocktails and giveaways that are sure to make our visitors happy."

The party will take place around the pool at the X-it recreation center from 6 to 9 p.m. with valet service available.

The three-story homes in the gated community range in size from 1,663 to 1,759 square feet.

Each condominium comes standard with an attached, two-car garage and second-floor terrace. Three floor plans are available.

Plan A is a 1,663-square-foot layout with one bedroom, 2 1/2 baths, a hobby room, great room and loft. A second bedroom is also an option in this plan.

Plan B is a 1,690-square-foot home with two bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, a great room and a den.

Plan C is a 1,759-square-foot design with up to three bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths, a great room and a bonus room.

Prices start in the high $200,000s.

The contemporary condominiums are painted with seven variations of lime green, steel blue, grey and brown. This color scheme, along with the interior features, set X-it apart from other condominium communities around the valley.

Homes come standard with granite countertops, a kitchen pantry and Shaker-style cabinetry.

Also included are raised panel interior doors with chrome handles and audio system prewiring in the great room. Buyers will also get a home that meets or exceeds Energy Star ratings because the builder uses blown-in cellulose insulation, low-e windows, programmable thermostats and a 40-gallon gas water heater.

Construction is complete on the building that will be home to a workout facility and club house.

Measuring 2,400 square feet, the building offers a multi-purpose recreation room, exercise room, full kitchen and a lounge/media area. The building also provides access to the pool, spa and deck area.

To reach X-it from the south, take Interstate 215, the Las Vegas Beltway, west to Tropicana Avenue. Head east on Tropicana and find X-it on the northeast corner of Tropicana and the Beltway.
