Rory Reid gives classy concession speech
Rory Reid lost to Brian Sandoval in the governor’s race, but he showed Tuesday night why he still has a bright political future by giving a generous and classy concession speech.
“My campaign for governor ends tonight,” he told the crowd at the Aria between chants of 'Rory, Rory, Rory.' " "My commitment to Nevada doesn’t end tonight."
The Clark County Commissioner spoke at length about the importance of supporting Gov.-elect Sandoval and his family. Reid is, of course, the son of a high-profile politician and knows the challenges the Sandoval children will experience with their dad’s new high-profile job. He struck just the right tone: gracious and not somber.
