Shea Homes at Ardiente creates multifunctional space, flexibility

Most new homes today come with a standard laundry room that is used for the purpose of washing and drying clothing. At Shea Homes at Ardiente, the architects have created SmartSpace transforming the laundry room into a multifunctional room to use as a laundry room within a second office, hobby room or pet grooming room.

"Retirement buyers typically are down sizing from a two-story home into a single-story home and one of Shea's known strengths is in downsizing designs and how in a Shea Home the space is creatively optimized to live like a much larger home," said Ryan Smith, sales manager.

"The SmartSpace allows a buyer more flexibility to define the purpose of the space so despite a reduction in overall square footage, the homebuyer's key needs are still being met."

Buyers will have the opportunity to create SmartSpace that is functional for them.

Work is under way on the three new model homes at Ardiente and anticipated completion date for the models is late summer 2010. Currently, the models are in the framed stage and are progressing weekly. Visitors are invited to tour the community, as long as they wear a hard hat hard and don't mind dust.
