Shea Homes showcases Verona plan

Shea Homes at Ardiente, an age-qualified community in North Las Vegas, offers the Verona. The 1,223-square-foot home has two bedrooms, two baths and a two-car garage starting at $170,990.

One of the community’s smaller homes, this model is designed to offer an open space for entertaining friends and family. The Verona foyer has a vaulted ceiling, which delivers a feeling of openness that carries through into the other main living areas, including the living and dining rooms and kitchen. The Verona also has a combination kitchen and great room, showcasing a bay window.

The Verona is laid out in a split plan with the master suite to the rear of the home and the guest bedroom at the opposite front of the home, allowing for privacy when the homeowner has visitors.

The community is also known for its energy-efficient homes called SheaXero — The No Electric Bill Home . Company representatives said these homes generate as much energy as they use.

SheaXero utilizes a SolarCity system with 14 energy-saving features, such as Trane energy-efficient heating and cooling systems, low-e3 vinyl windows and cathedralized attic insulation.

Tibbitts said through this system, SheaXero helps to eliminate electric bills and saves homeowners as much as $3,000 a year.

SheaXero homes also include award-winning design features that allow for abundant natural light, open floor plans, ergonomic vanity countertops and the builder’s signature Five Sided Architecture .

At the core of the community is a 20,000-square-foot club featuring two resort-style pools, fitness center, group exercise studio, access to miles of walking trails and billiards and game rooms.
