Starbucks is going to sell alcohol now

Starbucks has announced alcohol might be coming to a store near you.

After testing alcohol sales in a few stores throughout the U.S., the company decided to roll it out to about 1,000 stores nationwide.

Along with beer and wine (no hard liquor), higher-end snacks like bacon-wrapped dates and truffle macaroni and cheese will be sold as a part of Starbucks’ evening program.

There’s no word on exactly which stores will see the booze, but it is likely to hit stores in urban areas. Starbucks plans on expanding the program from 26 stores to 40 by the end of the year, and will hit 1,000 “eventually,” according to the Atlantic.
