State corruption: We’re No. 7!

The benevolent souls at The Daily Beast (www.thedailybeast.com) have seen fit to rank Nevada only the seventh most corrupt state in America.

Perhaps they were grading on the curve. Tennessee was first.

Frankly, when it comes to corruption I have to believe we’d eat Tennessee for lunch and crap No. 2 Virginia.

Seventh best? Why that’s downright embarrassing.

That seventh-best ranking makes me feel like a fire-breathing football coach trying to rally his team with an inspiring halftime speech:

“No. 7? You can’t be satisfied with No. 7! Anyone can be No. 7! Your arthritic grandma can be No. 7! I don’t see the effort it takes to be No. 1. I don see the desire! Where’s the pride, people?

“Now get out there and sleaze it up. Rip and tear. Take their money, screw their broads, lose your conscience. Grab their land deals, sign up for those nefarious limited liability companies, and register your offshore bank accounts!

Go! Fight! Steal!
