Steve Gee eliminated in 9th place, wins $754,798 at the WSOP

Steve Gee of Sacramento, Calif. was eliminated in ninth place in the Main Event of the World Series of Poker and earned $754,798.
On the 30th hand, Gee, 57, announced all-in after the river card with board showing board shows 7 of clubs, 4 of hearts, 5 of diamonds, jack of clubs and 3 of spades. The wager was more than 11 million in chips.
Russell Thomas of Hartford, Conn., considered his options for about five minutes before calling Gee. He showed a pair of queens to Gee’s pair of eights.
The pot pushed Thomas into second place with 39 million in chips.
