Straight talk from ‘Flapjack’ Jill Derby

I never take too seriously the things politicians say at convention. The silly hats, banners and buttons are the outward expression of the inward depth of most politicians. For example, Jill Derby, who is running for Congress (again), told fellow Nevada Democratic conventioneers this weekend: "I started life on the Flying Flapjack Ranch in Lovelock ... where folks talk straight, look you in the eye and mean what they say. I say we need more of that in Washington, D.C."

OK, Jill. Let's start by you giving us some "straight talk" on Hillary Clinton and her disgusting use of race in the Democratic primary. Or, don't they talk about things like that out on the ol' Flapjack?
