Summerlin debuts Andalusia this month

Summerlin's newest homes are preselling at Andalusia by Lennar and Woodside Homes in The Paseos village. Since the neighborhood opened earlier this month, nearly a dozen contracts have been signed.

"It's easy to understand why Andalusia is so popular," said Kevin Orrock, executive vice president of master-planned communities for The Howard Hughes Corp., developer of Summerlin. "It offers well-planned, spacious floor plans in a picturesque setting. The homes, coupled with a Summerlin address, only add to its appeal."

The predominately two-story home neighborhood features six floor plans ranging from 2,986 to 3,864 square feet.

Woodside Homes features three home designs measuring 2,986, 3,439 and 3,477 square feet. Prices start in the low $300,000s. All floor plans feature formal living and dining rooms, open kitchens adjacent to family rooms, entry courtyards and covered patios. Each home houses as many as six bedrooms and four baths, depending on the floor plan and room options.

Lennar offers three home floor plans at 3,125, 3,242 and 3,864 square feet. Prices start in the high $300,000s. Floor plan options include a great room concept with a kitchen open to the family room, covered back patio, as many as seven bedrooms, 3½ baths and an optional first-floor guest suite.

Each home at Andalusia features a three-car garage and is available in three exterior elevation choices with varied color pallets. Select floor plans have an optional stone façade.

Similar to other Summerlin neighborhoods, Andalusia is a gated neighborhood that features a private neighborhood park for its residents. Surrounding amenities include miles of walking trails, schools, parks, restaurants and neighborhood retail centers. Andalusia is also located near the scenic, world-renowned 200,000-acre Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area.

"Andalusia's location offers its residents the best of both worlds -- all the conveniences of life to the east and the private serenity of the natural outdoors to the west," Orrock said. "It really doesn't get any better than that."

Summerlin began to take shape in 1990. National and regional studies have ranked it in the country's top 10 best-selling master-planned communities for nearly two decades.

Located along the western rim of the Las Vegas Valley, Summerlin encompasses 22,500 acres with about 7,500 acres still remaining to accommodate future growth within the master plan.

The community is currently home to nearly 100,000 residents.

Amenities include more than 150 neighborhood and village parks, more than 150 miles of the Summerlin Trail System, 26 public and private schools, 14 houses of worship, nine golf courses, shopping centers, medical and cultural facilities, business parks and more than three dozen actively selling floor plans.
