Summit communities offer ‘Home is Possible’ program

Summit Homes has announced financing opportunities for buyers at their Claremont, Emery and Westcott new-home neighborhoods at Northern Terrace in the Providence master-planned community.
“Now, not only do we offer buyers three distinctive neighborhoods with a combined total of 16 different floor plans — we’re also able to make the homeowning process itself even easier,” Summit Homes Nevada Division Manager Nathan White said. “The new financing packages we’ve developed with our preferred lenders — All Western Mortgage and Premier Mortgage — open the door to many families who can now take advantage of owning a home, in many cases for less than it costs to rent one.”
White added that All Western Mortgage’s Caren Becker is helping buyers qualify for the new “Home is Possible” program, which gives qualified homeowners in Clark and Washoe counties a grant of up to 4 percent of the loan amount.
Becker said the 4 percent can be applied toward the down payment or closing costs and will never need to be repaid.
“It’s an incredible opportunity for buyers who can handle the monthly payment, but have been unable to save funds for a down payment,” Becker said.
“Home is Possible” is available to homebuyers financing a primary residence with a government insured Federal Housing Administration, U.S. Department of Agriculture Rural Development or Veterans Affairs mortgage.
Also, Premier Mortgage manager Rick Piette recently introduced a true “no fee” home mortgage.
“We now offer all of our traditional loan products with no fees charged,” Piette said.
“So when you call Premier for a quote, we give you only an interest rate, because there are no charges at all for points, origination fees, or processing fees. When buyers combine our “no fee” program with Summit Homes’ special buyer incentives, it literally saves homebuyers thousands of dollars — and makes the possibility of owning much more achievable.”
Northern Terrace’s three communities offer a sense of small-town lifestyle. While schools, shopping, and outdoor spaces abound, the Providence master-plan features neighborhoods linked by curved, landscaped avenues, with parks and trails for family recreation and a year-round calendar of events to nurture a sense of community.
Summit Homes homeowners in Providence gain membership to The Club at Northern Terrace, a 16,000-square-foot, multimillion-dollar recreation center with fitness center, three pools, a spa, cabanas, sheltered barbecue and play areas, and an indoor entertainment center complete with big-screen televisions. The Club is available to Northern Terrace residents year-round, offers classes during the year and can be booked for private events.
Home prices in Claremont, Emery and the soon-to-be-released Westcott range from the high $180,000s to the low $300,000s. Sixteen floor plans range in size from 1,618 to 3,572 square feet.
