St. Paul the Apostle Orthodox Church's annual International Food Festival is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the 5400 Annie Oakley Drive church. The festival is set to feature food from Bulgaria, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Georgia, Greece, Italy, Lebanon, Romania, Russia, Serbia and the United States.

Planned activities include church tours, a choir concert, games, ethnic dancing, Russian acrobats, a raffle and silent auction and a performance of David Poe's Dixieland Band. Admission is $2 or free for kids 7 or younger. Attendees with a valid military, police, fire department or Clark County School District identification get in free. Radio Control Jet event planned

Sin City Jets 2011 Rally is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday through Saturday at William Bennett Field, 7000 E. Russell Road. The Las Vegas Radio Control Club-sponsored event will feature remote-control jets, zipping by at greater speeds than traditional propeller-driven planes. Admission is free for spectators. BIG GIVE TO BE DAY OF ONLINE DONATION
for state's charities NOV. 17

Nevada's Big Give is planned for Nov. 17. It's a day of online giving to benefit charities in the state. This annual initiative, launched by NevadaGIVES, with United Way of Southern Nevada as lead sponsor, is designed to bring new donors and dollars to nonprofit groups.

Every registered 501(c)(3) organization in Nevada automatically will receive donations through the website nvbiggive.org. The goal is to raise $1 million in one 24-hour period for nonprofit groups across the state by encouraging Nevadans to give where they live.

Horseman's Park to host Vaulting Show

An American Vaulting Association horse show is scheduled 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday through Sunday at Horseman's Park, 5800 E. Flamingo Road. Vaulting has been described as gymnastics on horseback. Admission is free for spectators. For more information, call 455-8206.

The Paradise Town Advisory Board is scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. Nov. 8 at the Paradise Recreation and Community Services Center, 4775 S. McLeod Drive.

The Winchester Town Advisory Board is scheduled to meet at 6 p.m. Nov. 8 at the Winchester Cultural Center, 3130 S. McLeod Drive.

The Whitney Town Advisory Board is scheduled to meet at 6 p.m. Nov. 10 at the Whitney Recreation Center, 5712 E. Missouri Ave.

The Sunrise Manor Town Advisory Board is scheduled to meet at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 10 at the Hollywood Recreation and Community Services Center, 1650 S. Hollywood Blvd.
