TOWN ADVISORY BOARDS TO MEET
The Winchester Town Advisory Board is scheduled to meet at 6 p.m. April 30 at the Winchester Cultural Center, 3130 S. McLeod Drive.
The Paradise Town Advisory Board is scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. April 30 at the Paradise Recreation and Community Services Center, 4775 S. McLeod Drive.
The Whitney Town Advisory Board is scheduled to meet at 6 p.m. May 2 at the Whitney Recreation Center, 5712 E. Missouri Ave.
The Sunrise Manor Town Advisory Board is scheduled to meet at 6:30 p.m. May 2 at the Hollywood Recreation and Community Services Center, 1650 S. Hollywood Blvd.

Information Meeting slated
for Teen Leadership program
The Southern Nevada Devil Pups organization plans to host an informational meeting at 2 p.m. April 27 at the Greater Nevada Marine Corps League, 4360 W. Spring Mountain Road.
The Devil Pups is a leadership program for teens 14 to 17. Those interested in attending the 2013 encampment program at Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Base must attend the meeting with a parent.

Zion Trip planned
As part of the “Get Up & Get Moving” initiative and the “Children’s Outdoor Bill of Rights,” a community outdoor adventure to Zion National Park is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. April 27 leaving from the Walnut Recreation Center, 3075 N. Walnut Road. Participants are set to travel by motor coach to the park in Utah for hiking or picnicking. The cost is $5 per person and children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Family Promise plans Cardboard City
Family Promise of Las Vegas plans to host its Cardboard City fundraiser at 6 p.m. Saturday at St. Thomas More, 130 N. Pecos Road.
Each team or individual is asked to raise at least $100 in order to take part in the event where participants spend the night in cardboard homes. The goal is to raise $30,000 and to have at least 300 people attend the sleepover.

DJS FOR PJS TO HOST PAJAMA DRIVE APRIL 26
The 11th annual DJS for PJS event is scheduled for 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. April 26. The event is designed to collect new pajamas for children in crisis and benefits charities throughout the Las Vegas Valley.
Local disc jockeys will encourage donations by broadcasting on-site from four Kohl’s stores: in Henderson at 30 N. Valle Verde Drive; in the Summerlin area at 8671 W. Charleston Blvd.; in Centennial Hills at 6700 N. Durango Drive; and in southwest Las Vegas at 4250 Blue Diamond Road.
The aim is to collect 8,000 pairs of pajamas to be distributed by local charities, including A Brighter Day Family Services, Baby’s Bounty, Boys Town Nevada, Casa de Luz (House of Light), Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada, Child Haven, Neighborhood Family Services, Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation, Nevada Children’s Center, Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth, Ronald McDonald House, S.A.F.E. House, Safe Nest, St. Jude’s Ranch, Southern Nevada Children First, the Shade Tree, Variety Early Learning Center and Women’s Development Center.

WETLANDS PARK TO HOST GUIDED HIKE
