The Morning After reviews

Here is a roundup of reviews from last night's Nevada Senate debate.

And for people who missed it, here is the CSPAN broadcast.

The Associated Press: "Not a single moment of agreement."

The Washington Post: Angle "was tough and salty throughout....Reid is an erratic public speaker but by his standards he delivered a solid performance."

Los Angeles Times:  "Starkly contrasting positions and personalities make for a testy exchange."

The New York Times: "What viewers saw was a vivid contrast of philosophy... fundamentally different visions of the role of government....Reid and Angle did not not appear to make any kind of egregious mistake that could by itself turn the course of this campaign."

Politico:  "Nevada fight night fizzles....while neither gaffe-prone candidate committed a major error, both struggled throughout....much anticipated showdown had more flubs than fireworks."

CNN:  Reid and Angle "tussled over everything..."

The Fix:  Angle "proved she could stand toe-to-toe... neither shone in their one and only debate... challenger looked particularly unsteady at the start. ... debate covered subjects that Angle embraces... immigration,  economy, job losses, taxes... Reid was remarkably restrained."

The Hill:  "Reid delivered an even performance while Angle struggled at times with policy questions."

The Daily Caller:  Sharron Angle "every bit the hardline conservative she has been portrayed.... Harry Reid just as stiff and pedestrian a communicator as he has always been.... the ideological divide was clear."

Talking Points Memo: "Ultimately neither candidate seemed to suffer from any knockout blows but they sure provided an interesting spectacle."

National Journal Hotline:  Reid "looked more like the gaffe-prone politician... failed to land any significant blows."
