The vanishing president

It's been a bad week for President Barack Obama. His poll numbers plunged to the worst of 2011. He was called "a dick" by an analyst on Obama-friendly MSNBC and GOP senators called on the president to come on down to the Senate chambers and talk about the budget. Obama said it was a not a worthwhile conversation. Instead the prez is headed to Martha's Vineyard for summer vacation.

All good column fodder.
