The College of Southern Nevada Planetarium on the Cheyenne campus, 3200 E. Cinemark Theatres plans a Summer Movie Clubhouse offer with 10 films for $5 when purchased in advance or $1 per show if purchased at the box office. This week's film is "Despicable Me," scheduled at 10 a.m. today at Century 16 Santa Fe Station, 4949 N. Rancho Drive. Additional films scheduled include "Diary of a Wimpy Kid 2," July 10; "Dolphin Tale," July 17; "Puss in Boots," July 24; and "Winnie the Pooh," July 31. The National Council of La Raza plans a free National Latino Family Expo from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday in the South Convention Center at Mandalay Bay, 3950 Las Vegas Blvd. South. "Stephen Sondheim, A Life in the Theater: An Evening of Music and Conversation" is scheduled to bring the iconic composer lyricist to the center July 14.

In celebration of Sondheim's appearance, music director Bill Fayne and director Andrew Wright plan a cabaret jazz show titled "Putting it Together," featuring Richel Kompst, Lou De Meis, Anne Barr, Brandon Albright and Jay Joseph performing Sondheim's hits July 15.
