The College of Southern Nevada Planetarium on the Cheyenne campus, 3200 E. Cheyenne Ave., is scheduled to present "Stars of the Pharoahs" at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, "Extreme Planets" at 7 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and "Zula Patrol: Down to Earth" at 3:30 p.m. Saturdays. Cinemark Theatres plans a Summer Movie Clubhouse offer with 10 films for $5 when purchased in advance or $1 per show if purchased at the box office. This week's film is "Despicable Me," scheduled at 10 a.m. today at Century 16 Santa Fe Station, 4949 N. Rancho Drive. Additional films scheduled include "Diary of a Wimpy Kid 2," July 10; "Dolphin Tale," July 17; "Puss in Boots," July 24; and "Winnie the Pooh," July 31. The Las Vegas Cultural Corridor's Camp Corridor, featuring activities at museum and library attractions downtown, is slated from Monday to July 14. The National Council of La Raza plans a free National Latino Family Expo from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday in the South Convention Center at Mandalay Bay, 3950 Las Vegas Blvd. South. The Smith Center for the Performing Arts, 361 Symphony Park Ave., has a full slate of shows planned. Performances scheduled include: Clint Holmes, Friday through Sunday; CTA featuring Danny Seraphine, Friday and Saturday; Chris Botti, Friday; and k.d. lang and the Siss Boom Bang, July 13.

"Stephen Sondheim, A Life in the Theater: An Evening of Music and Conversation" is scheduled to bring the iconic composer lyricist to the center July 14.

In celebration of Sondheim's appearance, music director Bill Fayne and director Andrew Wright plan a cabaret jazz show titled "Putting it Together," featuring Richel Kompst, Lou De Meis, Anne Barr, Brandon Albright and Jay Joseph performing Sondheim's hits July 15.

The Bass Pro Shops Family Summer Camp is set to feature free activities, crafts and workshops designed to teach families outdoor skills from 1 to 5 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays through July 15 at Bass Pro Shops, 8200 Dean Martin Drive.
