Worth a Drive

A Settlement Day celebration to mark the 157th anniversary of the Old Las Vegas Mormon Fort is planned at the Old Las Vegas Mormon Fort State Historic Park, 500 E. Washington Ave., from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday. Expect Dutch oven cooking, volunteers dressed as historical characters and activities by the Daughters of Utah Pioneers, the Friends of the Fort, the Soldiers of the Fort and the Old Spanish Trail Association. Patrons can purchase a pancake breakfast for $5 per person or $15 per family. Admission is $1. Call 486-3511.
