Trudi’s romance quickie: ‘Night Falls Darkly’

  "Night Falls Darkly" is part of a fabulous series by Kim Lenox.
  The Shadow Guard protect the inner realm from human souls that have gone bad. In this story, their target is Jack the Ripper. Archer, Lord Black, is a very ancient Shadow Guard and has been around since almost the beginning of time. Archer has been assigned the reclamation of Jack the Ripper, the worst of the worst.
  Miss Elena Whitney, who is Lord Black's ward, works right in the middle of the East End where the murders are happening. Although she has no past since an accident took her memory, she works as a nurse and is planning to attend the women's university to become a doctor.
  With Jack the Ripper on the loose, Archer is hard pressed to keep his concentration on the task at hand when Elena is everything he remembered and can't have.
  "Night Falls Darkly" is a really well-written story and it seems with more to come.
  I can't wait until the next series, due out in May 2009.
