Veteran automobile executive spearheads Planet Hyundai’s Luxury Autos of Las Vegas

No one knows the luxury automobile market better than Mark Chernine, who has been helping Las Vegas Valley luxury vehicle buyers since 1981.

As the general manager of Planet Hyundai’s Used Car Super Store’s Luxury Autos of Las Vegas Division, the 65-year-old Chernine represents a unique element of the automobile business. His history with luxury brands such as Mercedes Benz and BMW have given him a good feel for the market.

“The benefit of buying a 2- or 3-year-old luxury vehicle is that you’re getting the look of a new car at 50 to 70 percent of its original price,” Chernine said. “In our case, I acquire these vehicles from Mercedes and BMW Financial Services as lease returns.

“I carefully review each and every vehicle,” Chernine said. “I do hours and hours of research on these vehicles to get the cream puffs. I then attend the auctions and purchase them for the Planet Hyundai Used Car Super Store.”
