It’s fast, accurate and a bit gross.
An “Earth Unplugged” video shows us what happens in the split second when a chameleon whips out its tongue onto unsuspecting prey.
As the tongue begins to propel out of the lizard’s mouth, the scene turns into something ripped straight out of a science fiction-horror movie.
Despite how gross it is, you can’t help but be impressed by the insane speed and accuracy of the chameleon’s tongue. It’s like the Indiana Jones of the lizard world.
That poor cricket didn’t stand a chance.
