William Lyon to hold grand opening
William Lyon Homes will hold a grand opening today at 10 a.m. for its Tularosa neighborhood, which is located within the 3,500-acre Mountain's Edge master-planned community in the southwestern valley.
Tularosa is the only actively selling all-single-story neighborhood in the community.
The event will debut four new model homes.
Festivities include Cold Stone ice cream served from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. today and Sunday as well as a drawing for a chance to win one of five gift cards valued from $50 to $200.
Additionally, during the grand opening weekend the builder is offering closing cost incentives for qualified buyers who use its preferred lender.
"This weekend home shoppers will not only enjoy festivities and giveaways, they will have the opportunity to be among the first to tour four brand-new beautifully appointed model homes and get a glimpse of the benefits of single-story living," sales agent Julia Giordani said. "They will also be able to be among the first to purchase a home in a neighborhood that we expect to be hugely successful based upon the presale interest. Plus, they'll be able to take advantage of grand opening prices starting at $162,000."
"All four of our models are beautifully appointed homes. Each home is highlighted by a great open design and the kitchens are gorgeous with granite countertops, island workstations with breakfast bars and beech wood cabinetry," Giordani said. Four model homes are featured, measuring from 1,514 to 2,102 square feet.
Two of the models -- the 1,747-square-foot Plan One and the 1,514-square-foot Plan Four -- offer three bedrooms while the 1,976-square-foot Plan Two and the 2,102-square-foot Plan Three feature three bedrooms plus a den. Each home features a great room and also includes two baths and a two-car garage.
The first phase of six home sites is being released today.
"Our first phase of six home sites is special because it offers some oversized lots with a lot of room for outdoor entertaining. Some of these lots are unique because they align a paseo, so there is a walking path instead of another house behind your home," she said.
According to Giordani, the neighborhood's location within the Mountain's Edge community also will appeal to buyers seeking the conveniences of master-planned living.
