YOUR BEST FRIENDS: Readers share photos of their pets, July 3

Marlene Pendleton and Sandee Smith of Las Vegas shared this photo of their rescue pet, Angel. “She wishes you and your family a happy, safe fun Fourth of July.”

Marie Soucy of Henderson shared this photo of Baby, a three-legged cat. “She is a 7-year-old half-Siamese, half-tabby, who runs and jumps just like any other cat. We got her as a kitten at the no-kill animal shelter in Henderson. All her brothers and sisters had already been adopted. She was the only one left. She even has a crooked tail. She's perfectly imperfect. We adore her, and she adores us.”

Delfina Lobo of North Las Vegas shared this photo of her dogs, Pinky and Doll. “They love to go outside and play. They like to go inside the blanket and cuddle with you. They love bones.”

Tommie Anne Saizan of Las Vegas shared this photo of her cat, Mini. “He came into my life when the car in front of me threw him out of their window when he was 5 weeks old. What a shocker to see this little black-and-white ‘trash’ being thrown from a moving car. The vet didn't think he would make it, but he was a very determined boy and showed everyone just how much he was a fighter. And now, seven years later, I have the smartest boy I have ever known.”

Heather Davidson of Las Vegas shared this photo of Kerme, a 1-year-old rescue pup from the Nevada SPCA. “He thinks stealing socks is the best game ever, and he has accrued a vast collection of mismatched socks under beds, couches and in other various spots.”

Jennylee Berns of Las Vegas shared this photo of Sancho, a 9-year-old Shih Tzu. “Over the years he’s always been my best pal! Warms my heart and always makes me laugh.”
