Debbie Sylver of Henderson shared this photo of best friends Piper and Java. "They love to take walks in their strollers to watch the birds in the park."
"This is a picture of our 9-year-old Maltese, Amos," wrote Arlene Smith of Las Vegas. "He is by far the smartest, sweetest and most lovable dog. Two years ago, Amos became diabetic and to this day gets two shots of insulin each day. Eight months later, Amos started to go blind from cataracts due to the diabetes. He had cataract surgery on both eyes, and now he is back to the same happy dog with sight. My husband and I will do anything to give Amos the best quality of life possible as the joy he has brought and is still bringing is immeasurable."
“This is Heidi,” wrote Margaret Beck of North Las Vegas. “She loves to get the newspaper off the coffee table while I am at work. It is so much fun to shred the paper. When she hears me coming, she will hide in her bed. She seems to think if she cannot see me, I can’t see her. She knows she’s in trouble.”
The Parker family of Green Valley shared this photo of P.J., short for Parker Jr. “He is our second golden retriever. We named our first Parker, which is our last name. Sadly, he passed eight years ago of cancer at age 12. We picked up Parker Jr. two hours after puttting Parker to sleep. Having P.J. as a 9-week-old puppy really helped ease the pain of our loss. Both Parker and P.J. were trained as puppies to retrieve our newspaper for us each morning. It was a special part of their day.”
