YOUR WEEKEND: Show support for troops at Freedom Walk

Go out and take advantage of the cooler weather this Friday, Sept. 11, and walk for a good cause.

Operation Homefront will host a free Freedom Walk Friday at Kellogg Zaher Park, 7701 W. Washington Blvd. Registration begins at 3:30 p.m., and the 2.44 mile walk will begin after a ceremony at 5 p.m.

Operation Homefront provides emergency and morale assistance for our troops, the families they leave behind and for wounded warriors when they return home.

To register in advance, visit www.operationhomefront.net/nevada. The first 250 to register will receive a T-shirt.
