Kinder Prep Academy Fall Carnival Fundraiser

Kinder Prep Academy, 5695 N. Rainbow Blvd., near Ann Road and U.S. 95, invites the community to enjoy its fall carnival fundraiser.

Sponsored by the KPA-PTO, the event will run from noon to 4 p.m. and feature pony rides, a bubble house, themed rooms, raffles and all sorts of prizes. Funds raised during the event will be used to build a student playground.

Whole Foods to give Thanksgiving samples

Turkey Day will come early at Whole Foods Market. This weekend, all four Whole Foods Markets in the valley will offer samples of a Thanksgiving meal. The tasting will include spiral-cut ham, brined turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, turkey gravy, creamed spinach, creamed corn and cranberry sauce. A post-tasting Thanksgiving nap is recommended.

The tastings are from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday at Whole Foods Markets, 7250 W. Lake Mead Blvd, 8855 W. Charleston Blvd., 6689 Las Vegas Blvd. and 100 S. Green Valley Parkway, in Henderson.

Hanukkah Bazaar

Midbar Kodesh Temple Sisterhood will host its annual Hanukkah Bazaar from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday (Nov. 16) at the synagogue, 1940 Paseo Verde Parkway in Henderson, between Green Valley Parkway and Valle Verde Drive. Gift items, including jewelry, arts and crafts, will be featured, and there will be a food court that will offer coffee and sweets, lunch items and drinks. "Dining at Our Sisters’ Table," a new kosher cookbook published by Midbar, also will make its debut at the bazaar. For information, call 454-4848.
