YOUR WEEKEND: Wait, are cars supposed to be doing that?
June 26, 2009 - 8:41 am
Vegas Drift, the Las Vegas Drifting will be holding VD012, its first night event from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. Saturday, June 27, in the Bullring parking lot at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Drifting is the fine art of going around corners in a car as sideways as possible without spinning out. It’s the only judged motor sport. How fast you get from Point A to Point B is irrelevant. It’s all about how cool you look while you’re doing it. Tickets are $5 for spectators, children younger than 12 are admitted free but must be accompanied by an adult.
