Las Vegas resident Don Walford said he took a photo of a rear door to the Alpine Motel Apartments bolted shut roughly four weeks ago. The matter was reported to the city of Las Vegas and a few days later Walford walked by the door and noticed the bolts had been taken off the rear door.
Approximately six weeks later, he saw on the news that six people had died in a fire at the Alpine Motel Apartments. He went to the scene and notified a fire investigator of what he’d observed previously regarding the rear door of the Alpine. He said that a fire investigator told him that the door was blocked at the time of the fire.
