UNLV football is ready to open up its 49th and final season at Sam Boyd Stadium on Saturday, August 31 versus Southern Utah. UNLV football practiced in full pads for the first time on Tuesday evening, after quick rainfall hit Sam Boyd Stadium. Head coach Tony Sanchez says he didn’t really see any more intensity from his guys than he does when the team is not padded, and is happy that they are always high-energy players.
