Las Vegas Judge Resigns After 25 Years

Las Vegas Justice of the Peace Deborah Lippis resigned last week. Lippis, who served for 25 years, has not given a reason for her resignation. Her latest term was up in 2019. Clark County commissioners can either appoint a replacement or hold a special election to fill the judge’s seat. Clark County Commissioner Larry Brown wants to swiftly appoint a replacement. But only if the appointee won’t run for election in 2018.
