The Masters Postponed and
Other PGA Tour Events Canceled
Due to Coronavirus.
The Masters, scheduled for April 9-12,
has been postponed until a later date
that has yet to be determined.
Fred Ridley, chairman of Augusta National Golf Club,
made the announcement on Friday morning.
Ultimately, the health and well-being of everyone associated with these events and the citizens of the Augusta community led us to this decision, Fred Ridley, via statement.
We hope this postponement puts us in the best position to safely host the Masters Tournament and our amateur events at some later date, Fred Ridley, via statement.
The Players Championship was
canceled after one round on Thursday.
and the three PGA Tour events
leading up to the Masters were also canceled.
The Players Championship started on
Thursday with fans in attendance.
and the tournament was originally set to continue on Friday without fans.
After its cancellation, all players who participated on Thursday will share half of the $15 million prize purse

Gabriella Collelo wasn’t the greatest golfer at first, but in a short time, she’s now getting noticed. The 6-year-old has been invited to tournaments in Australia and Italy, and has even received a sponsorship offer. Gabriella’s favorite golfers are Phil Mickelson and Michelle Wie. Gabriella has won half a dozen tournaments for her age group. Her dad buys her a Slurpie when she wins.
