Around 7,000 Las Vegas houses were on the market without offers at the end of November, up 54 percent year-over-year. MGM, Wynn, Caesars Entertainment and The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas initiated parking fees, but almost every property has resort fees

The Las Vegas Lights FC are building their team differently than other USL clubs. Coach Jose Luis Sanchez Sola is the only Mexican coach in the USL. Sola is using his reputation and connections to sign Mexican players the Lights feel other clubs are overlooking. Lights signees Joel Huiqui and Gerardo Lugo both said Sola was the main reason they came to the team. Both have experience with the Mexican national team. The Lights are hoping to add more players like them for their inaugural season.

Horse skull found in 1930 turns out to be 13,000 years old

A horse skull found in Gypsum Cave in mountains east of Las Vegas in 1930, was so well preserved, it was thought to be a modern horse or burro. It sat tucked away on a museum shelf overlooked until recently. It turned out to be 13,000 years old and scientifically significant: the most complete skull ever found of a “New World stilt-legged horse.” Eric Scott, an ice age horse expert at California State University, San Bernardino.
