Ian Alexander accepts academic scholarship to Northwestern University
 
Ian Alexander accepts academic scholarship to Northwestern University

Clark senior forward Ian Alexander was awarded a full scholarship Monday, but not for basketball. Alexander is going to study bio-medical engineering at Northwestern, thanks in part to a non-profit organization called QuestBridge that aims to send low income students to high academic universities. Alexander, a straight-A student, discovered QuestBridge while recovering from a torn ACL he sustained in the Region Championship game against Bishop Gorman. Through QuestBridge, he spent the summer studying the business of sport at Penn. He was cleared to return to the court in August, and made his season debut for the Chargers basketball team on Saturday.

The NCAA March Madness Tournament Explained

The NCAA March Madness Tournament Explained The NCAA Division I men’s basketball tournament is single-elimination, The term March Madness was popularized by an Illinois high school official, Henry V. Porter, in 1939, but it was Brent Musburger who used it during coverage of the 1982 tournament. The winner of the tournament for the 32 Division I conferences receives an automatic bid. The selection committee also decides which school among non-qualifiers has the pedigree to earn an invite to the tournament. Selection Sunday on March 11 March Madness officially begins March 11 and runs through April 2, when the NCAA men’s basketball championship takes place.

to Bombshell ESPN Report Don Yee didn’t necessarily offer a rebuttal to an ESPN report that describes tension between the legendary quarterback and head coach Bill Belichick, as well as team owner Robert Kraft. Don Yee, (NFL Network) It is said that Belichick is not on good terms with Brady’s business partner and fitness coach Alex Guerrero, who’s been given a high level of access to team facilities and players. Furthermore, the report states that Belichick was unhappy about being told to trade possible Brady successor Jimmy Garoppolo after Brady revealed to both he and Kraft that he wished to remain playing for years to come. New England will start their 2017 playoff run on Jan. 13 in the AFC Divisional Round.
