Soccer teams for Centennial High School and Palo Verde High School held a small ceremony before their game to honor Brooke Hawley, a Centennial player killed earlier this year. The team gifted Brooke’s parents with her number 15 jersey and every player wore a 15 jersey before the game.

Bishop Gorman’s baseball team took down Clearfield (Utah) on Thursday, 6-2. Tyler Curtis homered in the first inning to give the Gaels a 2-0 lead. They added three more in the third, and one in the fourth. Parker Aquino threw six innings, allowed two runs, three hits and struck out eight. Gorman improved to 11-2 on the year.
