One or more people could become multimillionaires if their tickets match the jackpot numbers drawn at 8 p.m. Friday. The chances of winning Friday’s jackpot are 302.6 million to 1, according to lotteryusa.com.
Police used grand jury subpoenas to obtain records in their investigation of Southwest Airline gift card misuse at the Las Vegas convention authority. Convention auditors uncovered that former CEO Rossi Ralenkotter used $17,000 in gift cards for personal travel. Former convention executive Brig Lawson used tax money to purchase the cards. Southwest Airlines initially couldn’t provide records to convention officials but airline executives had to respond to grand jury subpoenas.
Eldorado has quietly put together a terrific season for boys soccer. The Sundevils were ranked eighth in USA Today’s western region rankings after a 5-0 start. That included a 2-1 home win against Coronado, which won the state championship last year. Coronado, which has won the last four titles, did not qualify for state (three individuals qualified) Centennial captured the Mountain Region title, and McKenzi Hall won individually. Riana Mission’s individual title helped Clark win the Desert Region championship. It’s anyone’s game, and Nevada will have a new state champion for the first time since 2013. The tournament begins Monday at Dayton Valley, and concludes Tuesday.
