Las Vegas’ median sales price of a previously owned single-family house was $300,000 in March, up 7% from a year earlier. Despite the increase, home prices are still below their bubble-era peaks. The median sales price of a previously owned single-family home peaked at $315,000 in mid-2006. Adjusted for inflation, the peak was around $392,430 in today’s dollars — more than $92,000 above the current median.

He slid to the fifth round in the 2017 draft after being projected to be selected much higher. “I wasn’t happy about being a fifth-rounder. But it was good for me, too, because I didn’t have so much pressure when I came here,” Elvenes said.
Elvenes posted five goals and 16 points in 28 games while playing in the top league in Sweden. The Knights signed Elvenes to a three-year, entry-level contract in June.

A pair of 26-foot-tall showgirls now greet northbound visitors to downtown Las Vegas. The showgirl figures are modeled after two showgirls who accompany former Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman to events. The city’s new gateway sign, on a small strip of land in front of the Denny’s on Las Vegas Boulevard, just north of the Stratosphere, will officially be lit at dusk Tuesday. City officials are working with the Stratosphere to provide parking for visitors.
An early Wednesday morning crash has left one person in critical condition. A sedan and semitrailer collided around 4 a.m. at the corner of Spencer Street and Serene Avenue. Police do not believe impairment is a factor in the crash. Spencer has been blocked off north of Serene while police continue their investigation.
