Kim Sinatra grew up in Jamestown, New York She graduated from Wellesley College in 1982 with a degree in economics. Then she went to University of Chicago’s law school, receiving her degree in 1985. She landed in New York at the law firm of Gibson, Dunn and Crutcher in 1987 and focused on the gaming industry. One of her first major cases was Merv Griffin’s battle with Donald Trump over casino assets.
